Love In A Bag Program
“Love In A Bag” is a volunteer program that puts together new backpacks, toiletries, snuggly blankets, stuffed animls and socks and underwears for children who are being removed from their home for foster care. This wonderful program has served 94 children in our area since 2003, thanks to the dedication of volunteers like Sherry Thaut from our local post office. Now we are starting our own branch here on the Reservation. The idea is to make sure our kids know that they have people out there who value them at a time when their lives are going through serious upheaval. It’s a relatively easy way for us to make a big impact in someone’s life.
